From the archive, first published Tuesday 20th Mar 2007.

WIRRAL'S newest gymnastic club is enjoying rapid expansion.

Set up last November with just one senior coach, two assistant coaches and 20 young gymnasts, Wallasey Gymnastics Club now has one senior coach, three club coaches and 15 assistant coaches, six of whom have just passed their exams, and two squads of 30 gymnasts - 60 in all - from beginners to advanced level.

Three of the gymnasts who have moved to the club are British champions. The club has strong links with more than 12 Wirral schools.
